PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely clean sheet conveyance members such as rollers and rolls downstream of a fixing device in the sheet conveyance direction in a simpler manner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a normal mode for meltingly fixing a toner image on a sheet P, and a cleaning mode for cleaning conveyance members such as a pair of conveyance rollers 56a, 56b, and switchable with each other. When the cleaning mode is selected, a toner image with a specific pattern is formed by an image creation unit 20, and a setting temperature at a fixing device 5 is increased higher than that for the normal mode so as to maintain a melting state of the toner image with the specific pattern when the sheet P having the toner image with the specific pattern formed thereon passes the fixing device 5, and even reaches the conveyance members such as the pair of conveyance rollers 56a, 56b. Then, toner attached to the conveyance members is absorbed by the toner image with the specific pattern to be removed. |
