PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the output of a heater in an allowable range while quickly matching the total current of an image formation device with a target value by feedback control in consideration of the power factor of a fixation part.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: a fixation part for fixing a toner image on a paper sheet by a heating element; a fixation control part for performing phase control that changes a phase at which energization is ON in the period of the voltage applied to the heating element; a load; a power source circuit part that supplies electric power to the load; a fixation current detector for detecting the magnitude of a fixation current; a total current detector for detecting the magnitude of the total current of the image formation device; and a storage part for storing current change amount data specifying the amount of change in the magnitude of the total current to the amount of change in a phase for each value of the power factor of the fixation part according to an operation condition. The fixation control part changes a phase in which conduction to the heating element is started based on the current change amount data so that the total current is close to a target value according to the power factor of the fixation part and an operation condition of the image formation device. |
