The invention relates to a spacer (8) to be sandwiched between first and second glass sheets (5) of a vacuum glazing panel, such as to maintain a first space between the glass sheets, which space forms a first cavity (4) under a vacuum of less than 1 mbar, a sealing joint (1) being positioned on the periphery of the glass sheets enclosing the first cavity.
