<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a lithographic printing plate for on-press development which achieves good wear resistance and superior plate inspection property, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The original plate for a lithographic printing plate characteristically has a photosensitive layer containing infrared absorbent (A) and a color fixing layer containing heat foaming microparticles (a) and hydrophilic binder (b) on the support body in this sequence.
