<p>PURPOSE: A block operation management system and a method thereof are provided to easily deal with the administrative hand-over for each operation. CONSTITUTION: A unit block operation device requests a quality management (QM) device to perform a block investigation upon the completion of a unit block hull operation and an outfitting operation (S210), receives a history card of the results of the investigation from the QM device, and transmits the history card to a ship building device and a ship outfitting device (S230). The QM device performs the unit block investigation upon request, generates the history card of the results, sends the card to the unit block operation device (S220), and stores the card. Receiving the history card from the unit block operation device, the ship building device performs a first pre erection (PE) and informs the ship outfitting device of the results (S240). After the coating operation for the unit block is completed, the ship building device carries out a second PE and orders to load the operated blocks to a main ship (S270). Receiving the history card from the unit block operation device, the ship outfitting device checks the necessary materials for the outfitting operation, performs the outfitting operation regarding the results of the first PE, and informs a coating device of the outfitting results (S250). Being informed of the results of the outfitting operation, the coating device performs the coating operation and informs the ship building device of the results (S260).
