PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To paste a masking jig on a work with uniform force by robot hands.SOLUTION: A masking method using a masking jig includes the steps in which a masking jig holding section (31) of a robot holds the masking jig preliminarily prepared in a working area of the robot; the robot moves the masking jig to be mounted on a temporary placing table; an object holding section (21) of the robot holds the object preliminarily prepared in the working area of the robot; the robot moves the object to be positioned so that the robot faces a coating section (35b) at a predetermined position; a coating section coats an adhesive on the masking part of the object; the robot moves the object to the temporary placing table by allowing the masking part of the object to be faced in a lower direction; and the robot lowers the object to the masking jig disposed on the temporary placing table to paste the masking jig on the masking part of the object. |
