<p>A stator or rotor of a rotating electrical machine is configured by winding a coil conductor wire with a high space factor around a cylindrical core. A conductor wire is used as a coil conductor wire (4), said conductor wire having a cross-sectional shape that is capable of deforming, and the diameter phi of which is greater than a slot opening width (W1) when the cross-sectional shape is in a circular form. An insertion step #2 and a pressing step #3 are carried out. The insertion step #2 involves inserting the coil conductor wire (4), which is in a state in which the circumferential wire width (D) has changed to a wire width (D2) that is less than or equal to the slot opening width (W1), in a slot (22) from the slot opening (22b); and the pressing step #3 involves pressing the coil conductor wire (4), which has been inserted in the slot (22), in the depth direction, thereby deforming the cross-sectional shape of the coil conductor wire (4).</p> |
