The present invention concerns a bend limiter suitable for protecting a flexible pipe against over bending. The bend limiter has a length extending between a first end and a second end and a hollow bore along its length. The hollow bore is defined by a surrounding bend limiter wall. The hollow bore has a centre line along the length of the bend limiter wherein the centre line of the hollow bore, when the bend limiter is in an unloaded condition, is a curved centre line or the centre line of the bore, when the bend limiter is in an unloaded condition, is a straight centre line and the bend limiter wall is at most two fold rotational symmetrical around the straight centre line. |
