<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular head lamp for avoiding the appearance of darkness on a low beam distribution pattern as a result that part of light to form the low beam distribution pattern is injected into the lens cut surfaces of a projection lens. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular head lamp 100 includes the projection lens 10 arranged on the optical axis of a lamp fitting. The projection lens has an incident plane to form the low beam distribution pattern, a convex lens surface as an emission plane for emitting light which is injected from the incident plane to form the low beam distribution pattern, and lens cut surfaces 13R, 13L for reflecting light which is injected from the incident plane to form an overhead distribution pattern, in the upward direction of the low beam distribution pattern to form the overhead distribution pattern. The lens cut surfaces are formed on a portion of the projection lens where the light to form the low beam distribution pattern is not transmitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
