This document relates to compositions containing cardiogenic factors, to methods to obtain cells by culturing initial cells in the presence of such factors; and cells obtained by the methods. In particular, there are provided compositions comprising TGF6-1, BMP4, a-thrombin, Cardiotrophin, and Cardiogenol C in manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of ischemic cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, or heart failure. |
