A padlock for securing and monitoring a switch of an industrial installation has a lock housing which is composed of plastic, and also a clip which is displaceably held on the lock housing, and a locking cylinder which is arranged in the lock housing and can selectively be moved from an open position to a locked position in order to lock the clip to the lock housing. An RFID transponder is arranged in the lock housing. A securing and monitoring system for a switch of an industrial installation comprises at least one padlock of this kind and a mobile RFID reader or an RFID reader which is permanently mounted in the area surrounding the switch, said RFID reader being designed to read the RFID transponder of the padlock. |
