PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control luminance deterioration in four corners and side parts of an illumination region while securing luminance in the central part of the illumination region.SOLUTION: In a backlight 3, a plurality of light source units 21 of a rod shape arranged on a bottom plate 11a include four first light source units 21a and a plurality of second light source units 21b. The first light source units 21a are located at both ends in an H direction and at both ends in a V direction on the bottom plate 11a. Provided two rows including the two first light source units 21a aligned in the V direction are a first row P and a second row Q, the second light source units 21b are located between the two first light source units 21a in the first row P and the second row Q, respectively. In each of the first row P and the second row Q, two first light source units 21a and a portion of the second light source units 21b are arranged further toward an outer periphery of the bottom plate 11a in the H direction than the remainder of the second light source units 21b. |
