The purpose of the present invention is to provide a tire reinforcing member which is configured so that stress concentration at the ends of the tire reinforcing member in the direction in which cords extend is sufficiently relaxed, the stress concentration occurring when a tensile force acts on the tire reinforcing member. This tire reinforcing member is formed by coating parallelly arranged cords with rubber. The cords each comprise: a cord center section which is configured using filaments and by twisting the filaments together; and cord end sections which are respectively located on both sides of the cord center section in the direction in which the cord extends. The portions of the filaments which configure at least one cord end section are formed in a wave shape or a spiral shape and are separated from each other. |
