PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type mower so designed that: an operation control lever's careless swing can be checked by a check means and operation-starting consciousness is aroused by check release of the check means in making an operation startup.SOLUTION: A walking-type mower includes the following construction: a traveling machine body F suspended with front and rear wheels 2 is installed with an electric motor M with its output shaft M1 oriented vertically and a driving mechanism K transmitting the mechanical power of the output shaft M1 of the electric motor M to a cutting blade shaft 4 furnished with a cutting blade 3 and to the longitudinal shaft 5 of the front and rear wheels 2, and set with the tip of a steering handle H; and the close-at-hand site of the steering handle H is installed with a startup switch S for starting up the electric motor M, an operation control lever 7 for manipulating the startup switch S by swinging, and a free-to-check/uncheck check means R intended for checking the swing of the operation control lever 7. |
