<p>Provided is a coated member which has a novel non-conventional Ni-based coating film. A coated member of the present invention is characterized by being composed of a base and a nickel-based coating film that is adhered to the surface of the base and has a porous layer which is formed of a nickel alloy that contains at least N. This coated member is obtained through a plating step wherein an Ni-based plating layer containing Ni is formed on the surface of a base and a plasma step wherein plasma is supplied to the Ni-based plating layer. Since the porous layer that constitutes the Ni-based coating film has a plurality of fine pores having sizes from tens to hundreds nm, the Ni-based coating film has excellent lubricant-holding properties. As a result, the Ni-based coating film exhibits excellent sliding properties on the surface. In addition, due to the anchoring effect of the porous layer, a highly adhesive DLC film or the like can be formed on the Ni-based coating film. In addition, not only the porous layer is formed, but also the base can be nitrided by the plasma step.</p> |
