PURPOSE: A personal healthcare information (PHI) hiding device and a method thereof are provided to hide PHI in medical image data, thereby identifying the medical image data and safely managing the PHI. CONSTITUTION: An authentication code calculation part (110) calculates an authentication code value based on inputted PHI. A data conversion part (120) individually converts the authentication code value and the PHI into a binary number, combines the converted information, and generates binary merged data. An image data generation part (130) combines inputted first medical image data and the binary merged data and generates second medical image data.
