Disclosed herein is a twist crown cap with a PVC-free sealing insert, comprising a polymer composition which is equipped with at least one oxygen-scavenging substance, the polymer composition comprising a combination of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), polyolefin and white oil, whereby the TPE is in an amount of from 10% to 40% based on styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS fixed styrene content 31%), and wherein the Shore A hardness of the polymer composition is between 50 to 90 and the polymer composition exhibits a compression set of 30-90% in the compressive deformation test analogous to ASTM D395-97 Method B after 22 hours of storage at 70 °C and a compression of 25%.
