The generator has an outer housing component i.e. filling and/or gas distribution pipe (1), made from plastic and comprising an outer contour cross-section (2.2) comprising three, five or polygonal, ellipse or crescent-shaped outer contour. Another outer contour cross-section (2.3) is arranged at a distance from the former cross-section, where the cross-sections have different outer contour. A longitudinal axis (3) of surface midpoints of the contour cross-sections is designed in a curved or broken manner. The housing component is extended perpendicular to a body and/or inner lining surface. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle such as passenger car.
