The invention relates to a plant (10) for obtaining, in particular recovering, valuable substances from slurry (15). The plant (10) comprises a drying and evaporation stage (12) in which constituents containing water and hydrocarbons are extracted from the slurry (15). The drying and evaporation stage (12) is connected to a heating apparatus (14). In the heating apparatus (14), the constituents that contain hydrocarbons and are extracted from the oily slurry (15) are chemically reacted in an exothermic chemical reaction while heat of reaction is released. |
