PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium conveyance device for conveying a passbook with double-faced magnetic stripes for reading/writing the data of the double-faced magnetic stripes by one time inserting operation, and a printer thereof.SOLUTION: A medium conveyance device includes: a conveyance part having a conveyance path 12 for conveying a medium 80 in a direction of following the side face of a medium such that a booklet 80 is opened with a front cover 82 and a back cover 84 moved back and forth in a direction of conveyance for conveying at least the medium to a first position where a magnetic stripe 85 of the back cover 84 is read and written and a second position where a magnetic stripe 83 of the front cover 82 is read and written; and guides 40 and 50 for pressurizing only one side of the front cover 82 of the medium which is present at the first position, and for butting the other side face of the medium to the side face of the conveyance path 16, and for pressurizing only one side face of the back cover 84 of the medium which is present at the second position, and for butting the other side face of the medium to the side face of the conveyance path. |
