PURPOSE: A device for preventing water hammer is provided to remarkably reduce noise caused by the friction of a body and an existing valve plate by installing a tube on the operating surface when the water hammer is generated. CONSTITUTION: A device (100) for preventing water hammer comprises a body (110'), a cork (160), a tube (170), and a screw member (180). An upper part of the body is opened in a casting method and a lower part is formed in a sealed cylindrical shape. A flange unit (111) connected to a flange (2) is integrally formed on the lower part of the body. The body includes a female screw unit (113) and a latching protrusion (114) equipped on one side of the female screw unit. The cork is installed on one side of the body and fills with air and gas in the inside. One end of the tube is inserted into the latching protrusion of the body. The tube is arranged inside the body and is made of rubber materials. The screw member is connected to the female screw unit and supports the end of the tube.
