<p>PURPOSE: A device for performing random access in a radio communications system and a method thereof are provided to secure a time alignment value commonly applied to multiple secondary serving cells by one random access procedure. CONSTITUTION: A random access processing part (2812) produces a random access preamble. A transmission part (2820) transmits the random access preamble to a base station at a secondary serving cell. A receiving part (2850) receives a random access response message, which is included in a physical downlink control channel and a physical downlink control channel shared channel scrambled with a cell-radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) which is the unique identifier of a terminal, from the base station. The physical down link shared channel is directed by physical downlink control information.
