PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal vibrator which minimizes the increase of a CI value and increases the frequency control amount, and to provide a manufacturing method of the crystal vibrator.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a crystal vibrator 1 includes the steps of: forming metal electrodes 101 on upper and lower surfaces of a crystal plate 100; providing electrode protection films 103 so as to cover surfaces of the respective metal electrodes 101 to form a crystal vibrator piece 2; mounting the crystal vibrator piece 2 on a container 105; performing etching process to the electrode protection films 103 from both upper and lower directions of the crystal vibrator piece 2 to partially remove the electrode protection films 103 and conducting the frequency control of the crystal vibrator piece 2; and fastening a lid 106 to the container 105 where the crystal vibrator piece 2 is mounted to form the crystal vibrator 1. |
