PURPOSE: An over voltage protection device for resonance method wireless power transmission device and a method for controlling the same can have quick respondence and high efficiency and can solve the mounting size problem. CONSTITUTION: An amplifier (12) amplifies a signal generated in a signal generator (10) to a high power. A resonance signal generating unit (14) generates a wireless resonance signals according to a transmission signal amplified in the amplifier. A voltage/current detector (16) detects current and voltage of a wireless resonance signal generated in the resonance signal generating unit. A control unit (18) controls operation of the signal generating unit and the amplifier to maintain a set value within a normal range. The control unit monitors a detected value in the voltage/current detector via an ADC (Analog/Digital Convert) port.
