<p>PURPOSE: An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to conveniently and quickly operate a refrigeration cycle and to temporarily and rapidly cool (or warm) a user. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a main body (1), a blower (5), a heat exchanger (4), an air direction controller, a photographing unit, and a control unit. The main body having a suction inlet (3) and an extraction outlet (7) is installed at the wall of an interior. The blower sucks interior air through the inlet, and forms an air path (6) reaching the outlet. The heat exchanger on the air path partially performs a refrigeration cycle. The air direction controller at the outlet controls the blowing direction of the air. The photographing unit photographs the interior. The control unit controls the air direction controller based on the information of a photographed human, and implements a face recognizing step, an extraction starting step, and an extraction stopping step.</p> |
