PURPOSE: A pretreatment method of coal is provided to reduce atmospheric pollution and the corrosion environment of a power generation facility. CONSTITUTION: A pretreatment method of coal includes the steps of: removing ash from coal by pulverizing and screening the coal (S100,S110); removing residual ash from the screened coal by specific gravity-based classification (S120); removing moisture from the coal by irradiating the classified coal with microwaves and reforming inorganic sulfur in the coal (S130); and classifying the coal based on magnetism (S160).
