The check valve (1) has a valve housing (2) which is provided with an inlet opening (6) and an outlet opening (8) for hydraulic fluid such as oil. A plate (12) is provided inside the valve housing such that the inlet opening is displaced between the close and open positions. The movement of plate from the close position to open position is limited by a cover plate (14). The cover plate is arranged at interior (3) of the valve housing.
