PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a more natural rotational motion in an artificial knee joint implant.SOLUTION: An artificial knee joint implant 1 includes a femur component 2 and a tibia plate 4 which make contact with each other. The femur component 2 includes a first joint surface 11 positioned adjacent to a patient's inner side collateral ligament 105, and a second joint surface 12 positioned adjacent to a patient's outer side collateral ligament 106. The first joint surface 11 and the second joint surface 12 respectively have a first rotational guidance portion 46 and a second guidance rotational guidance portion 48. A reference plane 43 extending orthogonally to the horizontal direction is defined between the first joint surface 11 and the second joint surface 12. A reduction quantity &Dgr;D2 of a distance D2 between a second contact portion 42 and the reference plane 43 at the second rotational guidance portion 48 with the increase in unit bending angle, is set to be greater than a reduction quantity &Dgr;D1 of a distance D1 between a first contact portion 41 and the reference plane 43 at the first rotational guidance portion 46 with the increase in unit bending angle. |
