A heating circuit-specific heating characteristic stored in memory of control unit (4) for control of mold tool temperature is selected before start of heating and control process with different control behavior. The heating and control process is divided into several heating periods with heating phase, swinging phases and stationary heating phase. The temperature at mold tool (2) during first swinging phase is measured. The supply of heat carrier mediums in heating phase is time-controlled disrupted as a function of target/actual temperature comparison.
