Blade ring segment for a fluid flow engine and method for producing the same

The segment (1) has lower- and upper shrouds (5, 6) extended along a circle segment and integrally connected three blades (2-4). Each blade radially extends from the shroud and formed in a hollow form with a channel, where the segment is integrally formed by casting and directional solidification. The shrouds surround outlet openings (14-17) of the channels of the blades, and comprise a set of reinforcing ribs (10, 11) provided between two axially extending reinforcing ribs (9, 12). Each shroud comprises a U-shaped cross-section in an axial direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a blade ring segment.
