PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge allowing a user to easily acknowledge whether the developing cartridge is used or unused, and an image forming apparatus comprising the cartridge.SOLUTION: In a developing cartridge 7 detachable from a body casing 2, on a gear cover 42 for covering a gear train 41 to which a driving force is input from the body casing 2, provided is a shutter 62 movable from a coverage position for covering an agitator gear 47 of the gear train 41 to an exposure position for exposing the agitator gear 47, by the driving force transmitted from the gear train 41. A user acknowledges whether the developing cartridge 7 is used or unused by confirming the displacement of the shutter 62 by a display part 73. On the other hand, a CPU 82 of the body casing 2 determines whether the developing cartridge 7 is used or unused on the basis of the movement of the shutter 62 detected by a new item detection unit 78. |
