PURPOSE: A display substrate and a mother substrate for manufacturing the same are provided to omit an extra test line in a circuit-embedded unit by performing an array and a visual inspection (V/I) by using a first operating pad unit and a first operating line unit. CONSTITUTION: An operation-integrated circuit is embedded in a circuit-embedded unit (281). A flexible pad unit is electrically connected with a terminal of a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) and includes operating pad units (211,212) receiving an operating signal of the operation-integrated circuit. Operating line units (250,260) are connected with the operating pad units and extended in a longitudinal direction of the circuit-embedded unit. A plurality of connection lines are extended from the operating line units to an output pad unit and partially removed in a trimming area defined between the output pad unit and the operating line units.
