PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker allowed to be miniaturized by reducing a space for a main spring to move.SOLUTION: In an opening/closing mechanism 20 in a circuit breaker 1, when a handle 19 is moved from an ON position to an OFF position or from the OFF position to the ON position, an upper link 22 the rotation of which is fixed with respect to the handle 19 by a latch 23 rotates with the handle 19 with a handle rotation shaft 19a as a center, and a lower link 24 rotates with a lower link rotation shaft 22b as a center and horizontally reverses if the lower link rotation shaft 22b rotates together with the upper link 22 with the handle rotation shaft 19a as a center and goes beyond the action line L of a main spring 27, a coupling link 29 moves together with a lower side spring pin 25 while rotating with the lower spring pin 25 as a center, and a movable contact holder 15 rotates with the movement of the coupling link 29 to disconnect a movable contact 14 from a stationary contact 13. |
