PURPOSE: A signal processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to perform design using a sensor more efficiently and economically, by increasing a maximum value of a binary counter or expanding the limit of a maximum measurement value of the sensor without increasing a sampling frequency. CONSTITUTION: An input part (210) receives an output signal of a sensor (100). If difference of physical quantities in continuous two data acquisition time is within a predetermined range, a signal processing part (220) calculates the increment of a digital counter as physical quantity measured by the sensor if the absolute value of the increment of the digital counter is larger than 2^ (M-1). The sensor detects and measures several kinds of physical quantities, and accumulates or integrates the physical quantities to output as a digital value expressed as the binary counter.
