TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR MOBILE DATA SYNCHRONIZATION BASED ON MODIFIED HUFFMAN CODE

PURPOSE: A mobile data synchronization package transmission method based on the modified Huffman code uses the modified Huffman method to reduce network traffic and to increase compression efficiency and transfer efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A probability of occurrence about the attribute name of DS (Data Synchronization) elements and PIMS (Personal Information Management System) data is individually determined. The Huffman code is designated with the determined probability of the DS elements and the PIMS data attribute name and a Huffman table for the DS element and the PIMS data attribute name is created (S100). The package to be transmitted is encoded by using two Huffman tables (S200). The package which was encoded and transmitted is decoded by using the Huffman tables.
