摘要 PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling a piano robot are provided to control the operation of the piano robot by recognizing musical notes from photographed musical note images. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a piano robot is as follows: a step of receiving photographed musical note images; a step of recognizing notes from the musical note images; a step of generating robot control signals with performance information corresponding to the recognized notes; and a step of transmitting the robot control signals to an MCU of the piano robot. The step of recognizing the notes is as follows: a step of removing a manuscript paper and extracting the notes from the musical note images; and a step of recognizing the type of the notes and sound pitches based on the extracted notes.
