PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a planar α gel composition that gives an excellent touch while effectively preventing destruction of a lamellar domain.SOLUTION: The production method of a planar α gel composition includes a step of supplying a first fluid and a second fluid to a vibration type stirring mixer to obtain a mixture. A liquid crystalline fluid is used for the first fluid, which is obtained by mixing an oily first raw material prepared by heating, melting and mixing a raw material including an oil component that is solid at 25°C, with an aqueous second raw material. An aqueous fluid is used for the second fluid. A supply temperature of the first fluid is higher than a solidification start temperature of the first raw material. The second fluid is supplied to the mixer at a temperature lower than the supply temperature of the first fluid. The mixture is cooled down to a temperature lower than the temperature when the first fluid and the second fluid are mixed. |
