摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can be applied to a wider running state of an electric vehicle and can estimate a temperature of an induction motor with high precision.SOLUTION: A controller for electric vehicle includes: means 13 for calculating a secondary resistance correction value of an induction motor on the basis of a torque current command and a torque current actual value; means 24 for calculating a secondary resistance value after correction from the calculated secondary resistance correction value and a reference secondary resistance value; means 24 for calculating a first estimated rotor temperature of the induction motor on the basis of the secondary resistance value after correction, the reference secondary resistance value and a rotor temperature coefficient determined by the material of a rotor of the induction motor; means 28 for calculating a second estimated rotor temperature using a motor current, a saturated temperature rise value, and a temperature time constant; and means 33 for determining whether the secondary resistance correction value is effective or ineffective from a power running command and the torque current actual value and, when effective, outputs the first estimated rotor temperature as a rotor temperature estimated value and, when ineffective, outputs the second estimated rotor temperature as a rotor temperature estimated value.
