PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water repellent wooden material capable of maintaining the water repellent property of its surface for a long period of time, and an efficient method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The water repellent wooden material is made by processing, with a water repellent, a surface of middle wooden material obtained by heat-processing the wooden material at high temperature of 180°C or higher. In the method for manufacturing the water repellent wooden material, the surface of the middle wooden material obtained by heat-processing the wooden material at high temperature of 180°C or higher is processed with the water repellent. The wooden material is, for example, laminated lumber such as an end grain panel (EGP), LVL, etc. |
