PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor that has a combinational body of a coil and a magnetic core and is more excellent in heat dissipation than before.SOLUTION: A reactor 1A comprises a combination body 10 of a coil 2 having a pair of coil elements 2a and 2b and an annular magnetic core 3. The magnetic core 3 has inner core portions 31 disposed inside the coil elements 2a and 2b and outer core portions 32 exposed from the coil elements 2a and 2b and forming a closed magnetic circuit with the inner core portions 31. The reactor 1A includes a heat sink 4 made from a non-magnetic metal and an insulating layer 5A made from an insulating resin. One surface side of the heat sink 4 is used as a mounting surface on which the combination body 10 is mounted, and the other side is used as an attachment surface to an installation object such as a cooling base. The insulating layer 5A is disposed between the coil 2 and the outer core portions 32, and the heat sink 4. At least a part of a formation region of the insulating layer 5A on the heat sink 4 is roughened.
