<p>A method and apparatus for washing agricultural products with recycled, purified water is disclosed. Contaminated wastewater is recovered in catch basin (12) and then conveyed to a sump tank (17) for storage. Water from sump tank (17) is then conveyed via lines (31 and 32), where a coagulant is added, to a first coagulation compartment (34) of a vessel (69). Purified water from compartment (34) exits into second compartment (36) of vessel (69). The further purified underflow from compartment (36) is transferred to ozone contact tank (46). Thus decontaminated water is returned to the spray nozzles of a washing station (10).</p> |
