An objective of the present invention is to solve a problem in which it is difficult to simultaneously achieve increased signal resolution and noise component alleviation. Provided is a signal generating method which generates an information signal (F(b)) by Fourier transforming a signal (f(a)), comprising: a step of detecting a maximum value of the peak strength of the information signal (F(b)); a step of computing an amplitude, a phase, and a frequency of a signal (f(a)) which corresponds to the maximum value of the peak strength; a step of generating a signal in which the signal (f(a)) which corresponds to the maximum value of the peak strength extends along an axis on the basis of the amplitude, the phase, and the frequency; a step of, with a1<a2, extracting, from the extended signal, a signal of a region which is smaller than a1, and a signal, among the extended signal, of a region which is larger than a2, and generating an extrapolated signal; a step of compositing the extrapolated signal and the signal (f(a)) from a1 to a2, and generating a composite signal; and a step of further Fourier transforming the composite signal. |
