PURPOSE: Maintenance device of a solar cell module and control method thereof are provided to improve power generation efficiency by accurately judging cleaning time and cooling time of a solar cell module. CONSTITUTION: A control unit receives an amount of power generation generated from a solar cell module (S10). When the amount of power generation becomes smaller than a predetermined value, solar radiation irradiated to the solar cell module is inputted from a solar radiation measurement unit (S30). When the solar radiation is greater than reference solar radiation, the solar cell module is cleaned by spraying a cleaning solution (S90). When the solar radiation is below the reference solar radiation, the solar cell module is selectively cleaned according to the surface temperature of the solar cell module (S60,S70).
