PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous polymer emulsion composition, capable of reducing aggregates in mixing of an antiseptic agent to an aqueous polymer emulsion and thus causing no problem such as coatability and product odor.SOLUTION: The method includes: adjusting, when adding the antiseptic agent to the aqueous copolymer emulsion, the pH of the aqueous polymer emulsion to the range of 4 to 10 prior to the addition of the antiseptic agent. The pH of the emulsion is preferably in the range of 6 to 9 for further effective suppression of the aggregates. |
