Provided are a method, device and system for realizing webpage browsing in a remote desktop environment. A client receives a window initialization parameter sent by a server, determines a browser content area to be rendered at the client according to the window initialization parameter, and further acquires from the server webpage data corresponding to the URL which a user accesses for rendering and displaying same in the browser content area, thus realizing rendering of the browser content area at the client, avoiding the conversion of video graphics and compression of bitmap data by the server, reducing the resource consumption of the server, at the same time avoiding massive data transfer between the server and the client, and reducing the bandwidth requirements of data transmission.
