According to the inventive method, a virtual dental object representation (1) is produced starting from a first-modality image (2) of at least one part of a dental object. A virtual model (3) which overlies the dental object or a part thereof or a virtual model (3) which adjoins the dental object or a part thereof and has an item of additional information that differs from the image (2) and relates to the dental object is produced by applying a transformation method to the image (2), wherein the virtual model (3) supplements the image (2) and, together with the latter, forms the virtual dental object representation (1). |
