PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to maximize sealing effects by broadening a welding junction area of an adhesive to be coated between a base and sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve (120) is formed in the shape of a hollow cylinder for rotatably supporting a shaft. The sleeve comprises an escaping part (121') of a groove shape along the lower outer circumferential surface of the cylinder. A hollow part formed in the center of a supporting part comprises a base (110) which is fixed by inserting the sleeve. The base comprises a slope along the lower part of the inner circumferential surface of the supporting part. The escaping part is positioned beneath the beginning of the slope.
