Provided is a method for producing, with a high yield, a fat and oil composition which has a high diacylglycerol content and has a favorable appearance at room temperature. This method for producing a refined fat and oil composition comprises the following steps (1) and (2): (1) a step of adding a polyglycerol fatty acid ester in which an average degree of polymerization of glycerol is 20 or more to a fat and oil composition containing 50 mass% or more of a diacylglycerol, then cooling the mixture, and (2) a step of separating crystals precipitated in the above step from a liquid portion.
