PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit the damage of a stator coil end with a simple structure while ensuring the cooling performance of the stator coil end in a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 10 includes: a rotor shaft 18 including a shaft side coolant passage 19 where an oil circulates; a rotor 16 fixed to the outer diameter side of the rotor shaft 18; and a stator 14. The rotor 16 includes: a rotor core 40; and an end plate 20 placed adjacent to the rotor core 40 in the axial direction. The end plate 20 includes a plate side coolant passage 46 formed so as to communicate with the shaft side coolant passage 19, and the plate side coolant passage 46 includes a high surface roughness portion 54 provided on an inner wall surface and lowering the density of a coolant discharged from a discharge port 50. |
