This silica glass crucible, for which the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shape with respect to design data is high, is manufactured by rotational molding. If the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes for measurement data and simulation data obtained on the basis of initial physical parameters is below a prescribed standard, improved physical parameters for which the degree of coincidence equals or exceeds the prescribed standard are established. Furthermore, if the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes for measurement data and simulation data obtained on the basis of initial manufacturing conditions is below a prescribed standard, improved manufacturing conditions, whereby simulation data for which the degree of coincidence with the design data equals or exceeds the prescribed standard are obtained, are established. As a result, the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shapes for measurement data and design data for the silica glass crucible can be improved to meet or exceed the prescribed standards. In other words, silica glass crucibles, for which the degree of coincidence of the three-dimensional shape with respect to design data is high, can be manufactured by rotational molding.
